  • The caramel sauce should be prepared (it can be prepared and stored in the refrigerator for up to one to two weeks before the event).

Cream Cheese Layer

  • Mix the cream cheese in a bowl of medium size until it is completely smooth. When the mixture is smooth, add the vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and egg. Place in the refrigerator until ready to use (or prepare up to two to three days in advance).

Prepare cake

  • Prepare a bundt pan measuring 9 or 10 inches by greasing and flouring it. Put aside for later. Ready the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • A medium bowl should be used to combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt by whisking them together. Put aside for later.Place the diced apples in a bowl and add lemon juice to them. This will prevent the apples from turning brown.
  • First, combine the sugars and oil in a separate large mixing basin. Next, incorporate the applesauce and vanilla into the mixture. Mix in the egg until it is completely incorporated. Stir in the dry ingredients until they are completely integrated, and then stir in the apples that have been diced. Avoid over-mixing the ingredients. The batter is going to be quite thick.
  • Pour half of the batter into the bundt pan that has been prepared in an even manner. Make sure that the cream cheese mixture does not come into contact with the sides of the pan as you carefully place it in a line along the middle of the batter. The remaining batter should be spooned on top.
  • Bake in an oven that has been warmed for sixty to seventy-five minutes, or until a toothpick that has been inserted into the cake comes out clean. After removing from the oven, remove and allow to cool for five to ten minutes before turning onto a wire rack.
  • With caramel sauce drizzled on top, cut the cake once it has cooled down and serve it. Keeping any cake that is left over in the refrigerator.
